Remember all those dire warnings about being able to use computers on airplanes only if you could disable the WiFi? Often, some of the flight attendants would announce that WiFi could "interrupt the airplane's navigation equipment," presumably imperiling the craft. But now, they've figured out how to profit from WiFi by providing it to the passengers at ten bucks a pop or so, depending on which airline you're flying. So if they can't profit from it, then it's dangerous, but if they can, it's a great thing??? What's up with that? Makes you wonder about the cell phone ban, doesn't it?
